There's a long tradition of holiday seaside photography in Portobello, In the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries there were several photographic studios operating in Portobello, offering posed mementos of a trip to the seaside. These days you can take your photographs down on the beach. Of course you can just take your won pictures, either with a camera or a phone but that either limits you to arm's length selfies or means that the photographer will be missing from the pictures.
How much better to hire a local professional photographer to take your pictures. Whether you are on your own, with a friend or with the family, you can just have a good time and leave the photographer to take the pictures.
The shoot will fit around your visit - if you feel like a walk, we can head along the sand as far as Joppa Rocks - a great location for views back along the beach. If the kids want to make sandcastles or paddle in the sea we can take pictures there. Maybe you'd rather sit in a deckchair or on a bench on the Prom. Portobello has Beach Wheelchairs, which are freely available to borrow, if mobility is an issue. Whatever your trip, we can get some great pictures!
The shoot will probably take no more than an hour, although if you are having a good time we can go a little longer. All packages deliver a specified number of digital images. Images will be delivered electronically, sized and licensed for personal printing. If you prefer I can provide prints instead, at an additional cost - please get in touch for details of products and pricing. Images will be ready within a few days of your visit but a couple of web-sized images can be provided within a few hours if you can't wait to share pictures of your day at the beach!
